an eagle's sorrow

when i let go of your grasp and walked away
i never looked back
but now i wonder if you stared longingly at me
or did you turn your back too
did you run after me
if you did, how come you were never able to catch up?

i told you that i lived to fly
that i wasn't the type to be cooped up in a cage
i lived to soar across the horizon
i love to feel the wind blowing through my wings
as i slowly reach the sky

yet that night as i perched by your window
i saw a tear fall down your face
'are you crying for me?' i softly whispered
then you opened your eyes
but stared right through me

it was a long time ago when i was on the exact same spot
by your window, watching over you
and it was a long time after that before i flew again
when i decided to stop flying that night
maybe it wasn't the right time

when i wrote these words down before
i suddenly forget so i end up not writing it at all
but as i write this now
words continuously flow
words that have been longing to come out
words that my pride as an eagle firmly kept

i get ready to leave my perch by your window again
knowing in my heart that you never knew i was there
as is soar across the dark sky that i thought was home
i sadly realized that home was something i have already said goodbye to

sometimes you just have to stop
staring at closed doors...
but what if you just can't help it?

sLightLy distracted...

i'm trying to write a paper on the play lam-ang... at 1am..coz i procrastinated.. (did i say that right?) i'm still in vacation mode... haha! even though all i did was eat and sLeep..which is why i believe i'm chubbier this year... hahaha!! :D am i? hhhmmmm... i haven't even written a single sentence on my paper...but all the ideas are in my head, i just can't figure out how to start...

change topic... hehe!

2004 has been a long year.. yet fulfilling... i miss highschOOL.. our last days were comprised of waiting for any teacher to call us for grad practice and hurriedly run out of the classroom..now we realized that we should have taken more time to enjoy the moments while time was quickly running out.. there were a lot of things i didn't really like 'bout highschool.. like cliques that continue on (sometimes) 'til now.. kinda immature, but it happens... i wish we just all got along and things would be better.. but we were already a rockin' batch..(that's what they said).. when required, our unity is unbreakable and we actually cooperate..(even with those we didn't really know all too well)..it was all good.. maybe not all..but i think most of it was...
it's just nice to talk about stuff you miss..and one major thing that i missed last year and would continue to miss is my bestfriend..(one of the major changes in my life was when she left for the states..sorta biglaan..) those are the times when you'll be thankful for the internet.. :D
..new years bring new challenges.. some ppoL say that new year=new life.. not totally, i loved my life last year, why replace that? new year for me= a chance to make your life better bit by bit everyday... 'cause hey..bagong taon...more days..more chances to LIVE life.. :D

back to original topic...

which means back to my paper.. i rambled a bit too much..but reflecting and sharing is good for the souL.. :D hehehe!
